While most conventions here in the US were cancelled due to Covid in 2020, that did not stop Funko and other companies from celebrating what would have been with special releases of collectibles, both online and in partner retailer stores. For what would have been Wondercon Weekend, Funko instead participated in the Wondrous Convention. One of the releases that stood out to me, and one that I ended up purchasing post-weekend, was this piece from the Pixar movieĀ Coco. Let’s check it out.

In this Pop! Vinyl, the main character, Miguel, is featured in his afterlife makeup and playing a guitar. This is directly from a scene in a movie where he is playing in a contest to possibly win a way in to see his father, Ernesto, and get his blessing to pursue music in the living world.

While I eventually chose not to complete theĀ Coco line of Pop! Vinyls, I decided that this would be the one Pop! to get to display in my apartment. I feel like it best represents the movie, and happy that I was able to get it when I did.
