While I was at New York Comic Con last month, I swung by the Super7 Booth and got to take a look at their first series of Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles Ultimates action figures. Harkening back to my childhood, these action figures are beautiful. Highly detailed and articulated, Super7 is taking an interesting approach to the line. Before I get in to those specifics, here is the lineup for Series 1.

Each figure includes interchangeable body parts, accessories (both fully painted and non-painted on display rack), and more. Within each series of figures, one will come with a baby turtle, so eventually one can collect all four of the babies.

Series 1 Baby Turtle comes with Splinter.

Now, some might ask “Why aren’t all four Turtles in Series 1?”. The answer: longevity and character selection. In order to make sure that the line has a future, and that we might be able to see some fan favorite characters in the line, for the first four series, only one Turtle will be in the wave. This gives three more spots for other characters, some that might not have seen the light of day otherwise. Case in point here is the villain Baxter Stockman. He is an odd choice for a character in the first wave, given the popularity of the other characters. That being said, there wasa lot of buzz around him at the Super7 booth, as he looks amazing.

Here are what the figures looked like at the booth.

And now, a better look at their accessories.
