This afternoon, I take a look at the last of the Pokemon Generation 1 Starters to make its’ debut in Pop! Vinyl form. First featured in the Pokemon Red and Pokemon Blue video games, here is the Water Pokemon Squirtle.

Squirtle is a turtle that has two evolutions in the game, first changing into Wartortle and Blastoise. I can swim at high speeds thanks to its’ special shell.

With the release of Squirtle, the Starter Pokemon for Generation 1 have all been released. I previously took a look at Bulbasaur and Charmander, also Starter Pokemon in Pokemon Blue and Pokemon Red. The Pokemon Yellow edition of the game, released a year after the other two versions of the game, had Pikachu as its’ Starter. Funko released a Target Exclusive Pop! version of Pikachu last year, which I found recently at my local store after looking for a long time (another version of Pikachu that will be released retail wide is coming soon). Happy that my 3″ Pokemon Pop! Collection is complete… at least for now. With the total number of Pokemon being over 800 by the end of this year, I am sure more will be coming out in the 3″ scale. Already all four of these Pokemon have also gotten a 10″ version exclusive to Target, so that line continuing will also continue I’d imagine.

Want to catch these Pokemon? Some of them are currently available for order/ pre-order over at Entertainment Earth. Check them out.
