Black Friday at Gamestop has become a great tradition for Funko collectors. With Black Friday just over a week away, let’s go over the information we have discerned up to this point. Unless otherwise specified the photos are credited to DisFunko on Twitter.

Price? $20. The new ad drops the price from $25 to $20!

Theme? Retro Cartoons. You can see from the photo below that the box looks like an old TV. TVs that didn’t have remotes, kids!

What’s in the box? Well that’s a bit more detailed. Look below

Each box will have 5 items: 1 Pop, 1 Pop Pez, 1 Funko Plush, glow in the dark stars and a button.

We have confirmation of 5 characters as Pops: Wildcat from Talespin, Monterey Jack from Chip n Dale’s Rescue Rangers,  Megavolt from Darkwing Duck, Max from Goof Troop, and Angela from Gargoyles. Each character will have a chase.

Since we have 5 different boxes, and from the pictures we’ve seen above, it’s apparent each box will get a different Monsters Cereal Pop Pez. One of these:

There are two plush options. Tom or Jerry. Each box will have the glow in the dark stars and a button.

Here is a glam shot of all items

Now back to the boxes. We have seen this cartoon from a Gamestop store:

The cases has 15 boxes per case. 3 inner boxes with 5 each. So it’s safe to say this particular store got at least 1 case which includes 3 boxes of each character design (Wildcat, Monterey Jack, Megavolt, Max, and Angela). The interesting this is that there seems to be 8,335 cases made. That’s quick math to figure out that that should be roughly 25,000 per character. Now we are confident that each character has a chase so we do not know the ratio yet. How many of the 25,000 are chases? 1:3? 1:6?  We aren’t sure at this moment.

What do you think about these boxes? Are you going for them? What’s your most wanted item?

  1. I must have Megavolt!
Another member of the Fearsome Five has been made, this gives me hope that maybe, just maybe we’ll get to the rest of them too at some point.

  2. I need Max!!! Powerline needs his biggest fan with him! I’ll probably go, spend $25 on one, and be super irritated that Max isn’t in there! haha maybe someone will want to trade?
