Welcome to Flashback Friday where I discuss pops from the Marvel Cinematic Universe. Anything pop related to the MCU is up for discussion including films and television series. Let’s jump right in with this week’s discussion. Iron Man from the Avengers: Age of Ultron set is this week’s featured MCU Pop. Since I missed last week I thought I’d do a double feature of Vision this week with the last two Vision’s from the Avengers: Age of Ultron set.

Vision
#71 Vision

Discussion: Avengers: Age of Ultron is the film that Vision was first introduced into the Marvel Cinematic Universe. He was created by Ultron, Bruce Banner, and Tony Stark. Bruce and Tony used J.A.R.V.I.S. artificial intelligence to help create Ultron. When Ultron started thinking for himself he wanted to upgrade his body and mind into a new vessel. This is where Vision was created. He went on to join the Avengers and helped them to defeat Ultron and his army. Vision has a lot of unique powers and one of the really sweet ones he has is that he can fade through solid matter. I believe he does it a few times throughout the film and he continues to do it in future films. This is what this exclusive version of Vision is based on. Of course we have the original as well and they both look pretty good.

Vision
#71 Vision (Faded) (Target)

The normal version is cheap right now. You should be able to get it for $10.00. However, don’t expect it to stay that way long because it’s vaulted. Look for the price to increase over the next several years especially if Vision does something major or gets killed off. Faded Vision, a Target exclusive is pricier. You’re looking for $15.00-$20.00 depending on where you make your purchase. Amazon, eBay, and Facebook groups are going to be your best bet. With Target exclusives being notoriously hard to find in the stores I’m really surprised that this one isn’t going for more. I do have both of these Pops in my collection and I have to say that the Target exclusive version was one of the more difficult to track down. If you get the chance I’d pick it up if you’re a fan or to trade for something you want.

Trivia: Be the first to comment with the correct answers to both questions and win. If you become the weekly champion you must choose a Pop within the MCU that has not been featured in the Flashback Friday series and post it after your answers. The questions are from Avengers: Age of Ultron.

Q1: Vision is played by which actor?

Q2: Which Avenger helps brings Vision to life using lightning?

I hope you enjoyed this week’s column. Please check back next week for a brand new Flashback Friday and don’t forget to join our Facebook group. Excelsior!

I've been an avid Pop MCU collector for the last few years. I've recently focused my collection on Captain America Funko products since he's my favorite Marvel superhero. I've also been collecting and playing the Pokémon Trading Card game for the last decade. I also run and judge events. I'm into Marvel, DC, Pokémon, Disney, The Walking Dead, Game of Thrones, and WWE.
