For today’s review, I take a look at the Star Trek FunEdibles, released in Summer of 2016. I found my trio of these fun vinyl treats on clearance at GameStop a few weeks back. Released by USAopoly, each vinyl figure takes a popular character and mashups them up with a treat. This series features Captain Cup Kirk, Spock Tart, and Gorn Bread Muffin.
Captain Cup Kirk (Captain Kirk as a Cupcake) has him holding his phaser, along with his wavy hair and yellow Captain’s shirt.
Spock Tart ( Science Officer Spock as a Tart) features his side bag, his blue uniform, and is giving the Vulcan Salute, which usually was combined with the phrase “Live Long and Prosper”.
The Gorn Bread Muffin (a Gorn as a Corn Bread Muffin) features the distinctive Gorn costume from the memorable, and hilarious, fight scene in Season One’s episode “Arena”.
Overall, this is a fun collection. Not sure if I will keep them myself, or gift them to a friend who I know will enjoy them. Since I saw all three of them on clearance at the same time, I figured it was a great time to pick them up regardless of their final outcome. They could still be available on clearance at GameStop locations if you are looking to add them to your collectibles.
