Funko has begun slowly revealing upcoming SDCC Funko items and the first theme is Anime. Funko will have a ton of exclusives this year and many will be shared with stores. We won’t know which store yet but when we do we will let you know!
One exciting possibility for the SDCC exclusive items could be an Anime Katana figure. Many anime and manga series feature samurai or ninja characters wielding katanas, and Funko has already released several anime-inspired figures in the past. Fans of both anime and sword collecting would likely be thrilled to add an Anime Katana figure to their collection. It remains to be seen whether or not Funko will release such a figure, but with the Anime theme being the first revealed for this year’s SDCC exclusives, it’s a possibility that fans should keep an eye out for.
