For today’s Pop! review, I wanted to take a quick look at this summer’s release of Doctor Who’s Clara Oswald. A companion of the 11th and 12th incarnations of the Doctor, Clara was released this summer as SDCC Convention Exclusive, also being shared at Hot Topic locations under the “Summer Convention” moniker. I was able to pick her up at my local Hot Topic store back during the summer, but she went into hiding until recently when I uncovered a bag of purchases I forgot I had while packing to move. So, I figured with the holidays coming up, it would be a good time to check her out, as she is available on the secondary market (for probably around or less than what she initially sold for).  Let’s check her out.

I love the look of this Pop! Vinyl, which captures the look of Clara (played in the TV series by Jenna Coleman) perfectly. The stance especially is so like Clara in the show, like she is questioning the Doctor in her special sarcastic way.

Overall, this is a great addition to any Doctor Who collection. I did question her being a convention exclusive when characters like Sarah Jane were regular releases. The only thing I can think of is that Funko realized that this line would be better as convention and store exclusives.

Did you pick up the Summer Convention Exclusive Clara Pop!? Which Doctor Who character would you like to see in Pop! form next? Let us know in the comments below.
