For today’s review, I took a look at the 2017 New York Comic Con exclusive Luna Lovegood Rock Candy, featuring Luna, from the Harry Potter franchise, in her Lionhead headdress, which she wore to cheer on Gryffindor during Quidditch. This exclusive was shared between NYCC and Hot Topic stores/ online here in the US.
I decided early on to not get in too deep with Rock Candy figures outside of the Disney line. However, I really liked this version of Luna in Rock Candy form, so when I saw that this would be a convention exclusive, I knew I had to order it. I was able to get it online from Hot Topic, but a mess-up with my order caused a delay in my shipment. I was finally able to pick her up in-store this past week, and it was worth the wait.
The detail in this figure is great, and Luna’s look is awesome. I can totally see some Evanna Lynch, the actress who played Luna in the movies, in the features. Then you have the spider ring, and the patterned sweater. All of it looks great. Perfect addition to any Harry Potter collection.
