Loot Crate has hit the ground running in 2017, with their ORIGINS crate, featuring Superman, Super Mario Bros., Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles, and Captain America. Let’s check out this month’s offerings.

1. Loot Crate Exclusive Captain America Golden Age Shield Replica

A 1:6 Scaled Replica of Captain America’s 1940’s Shield, this exclusive by EFX Collectibles comes with a certificate of authenticity and a display stand. Perfect for the desk of any Marvel collector.

 2. Loot Crate Exclusive Original “Jumpman” T-Shirt

Before Mario was “Super”, he was “Jumpman” as part of Donkey Kong. I personally love this shirt, since I, too, was born in 1981.

3. Loot Crate Exclusive Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles Muglets (1 of 5 Designs)

These ceramic GeekiTikis Muglets feature either one of the four turtles, or the rare Shredder Variant. I got Shredder, which is pretty awesome. Standing in at 3″ tall, I hope to be able to get the rest of them to complete the set.

4. Loot Crate Exclusive Action Comic #1 Reprint

The first appearance of Superman in the comics is well known. Sadly, not many copies of Action Comics #1, printed in 1938, exist… let alone being able to read them. This true to the original replica is printed on newsprint stock with all of the original ads. Also includes a certificate of authenticity.

5. Loot Crate Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles Pin with Comic Book Unlock

Each month’s pin unlocks something exclusive online. This month’s exclusive is the first five issues from the IDW TMNT series.

Overall thoughts: A home run for Loot Crate. All of the exclusives are exciting, and they make me want more (especially the tikis). This is the first crate in a long time that all of the items I am keeping. Totally worth the $20.

NEXT UP: BUILD

Next month’s “BUILD” crate will feature items from TetrisPower RangersLego Dimensions, and Batman. Will we get an exclusive Lego Dimensions character? Perhaps something fun from the Lego Batman Movie? Can’t wait to find out!
