Recently, Funko released a “re-imagined” look at some of the Disney Princesses in Pop! form. Recognized by some as the “dancing” series, these new vinyl figures feature the princesses in completely new sculpts that make them look like they are enjoying themselves at a ball. Included in this new wave are Cinderella, Belle, Ariel, Tiana, and Rapunzel. Additionally, Hot Topic has released a glitter variant of Ariel, and later this week Amazon releases a shimmering version of Cinderella.

Today, I take a closer look at the already released vinyls in this collection as I get ready to take them with me to Walt Disney World next month for one of many Pop! Photoshoots.

Belle

Tiana

Rapunzel

Ariel (regular)

Note: There have been reports of a “chase” or “error” version of Ariel, where she has actual glitter on her dress rather than a clear glitter mold like the Hot Topic exclusive. She is out there, that’s confirmed. Whether she is considered different or not… I guess it depends on the individual.

Here is a side by side look of the Ariels.

I, personally, am really loving this collection of Disney Princesses. As most of you know, I am a sucker for Disney, especially ones that fit into the Walt Disney World theme parks. Rapunzel is probably one of the best pop! made in 2016, imho. I cannot wait to bring these Princesses throughout The Magic Kingdom for some great photo opportunities. Already have the Amazon Cinderella on order for her to join the group next week in time for my road trip.

Have you added these Disney Princesses to your collection? What are your thoughts? Let us know.
