Hey everyone! Happy Friday and welcome to another edition of The Highlight right here on PopVinyls.com! Don’t worry a link for all the places you can find me will be at the bottom of this article! I’ve got to be honest with you guys I’m suffering from a dark deep depression right now. I left Disney World last week and once you’re on that bus heading away from the Parks it just hits ya hard! Spending a week with Mickey and his pals and then just leaving them is tough! But we’re trying to get back into the swing of things and here are a few of my favorite photos of the week!

Halloween is quickly approaching. Yes, it’s September 9th as I write this so technically Halloween is still a bit away, but you’ll blink and it’ll be here. Macy’s is already selling Christmas decorations! So, expect a high influx of Nightmare Before Christmas photos! It’s one of my favorite movies, and the Pops are absolutely fantastic too. To get back into the swing of taking photos daily again I tried to go for an outside feel and look to my photos. Pumpkin King was perfect for a backyard shot and thus this photo was created.

Pocahontas was another Pop that felt right for a backyard shot. So, painting with the colors of the wind I placed her on a few tree branches and took this shot. I’m frequently asked how I come up with the shots I take, or what goes into making them, and you’d be surprised to believe it’s not a whole lot. Most of the time my thought process is “Alright, I need to take a photo and post it in five minutes.” and I’ll look at my collection and just grab one and see what happens. If you want to take Pop! photos I’d suggest doing it on the fly and not worrying too much about the end result.

As the week went on I found myself favoring Disney Pops… probably to help cure that depression I mentioned at the beginning of this article. And like Pocahontas I simply put Rapunzel on some tree branches and took this photo. Sure with the magic of Photoshop I added in some lanterns, but for the most part it was just point and shot. Again not putting too much thought into the process and just having fun with it. So, here is Rapunzel and her little friend so happy to be out of the tower and featured on the Highlight!
