Earlier this week, a Pop! arrived that basically took my breath away. In my opinion, it is by far one of the best sculpts Funko has put out in a long time. Here is a look at Elliott the Dragon from the Disney Classic Pete’s Dragon.

In the movie Pete’s Dragon (the 1997 animation/live action movie, not the reboot that’s coming August 5th), Pete is a orphan runaway who befriends a lightkeeper. Along the way, the lightkeeper finds out that Pete has an “invisible” friend in the form of Elliott, a giant green dragon who can turn himself invisible.

Elliott is described as having the head of a camel, the neck of a crocodile, and the ears of a cow. He is also both a fish and a mammal… how, I have no idea. More importantly, he is very loyal to Pete, and ultimately saves Pete from the foster family out to find him so the can re-enslave him.

Like I stated earlier, I really love this Pop! Vinyl. I applaud Funko’s choice to put him on a 6″ design, giving the ability to get a lot of great detail into the sculpt while keeping it distinctly Funko in look. Loveably doofy, everything from Elliott’s wings to hair to ear tufts is spot on. This was one of my favorite movies growing up as a kid, and this is a perfect homage to the character.

Want to add Elliott to your Pop! Vinyl collection? Our friends over at Entertainment Earth just got a shipment in of him, and at $14.99, he’s a great price. Head on over to order him today!

Coming in the mail soon from Amazon will bring the special two pack previously shown on the box artwork. Be on the lookout for a closer look at that 2pk when it arrives.
