Hey everyone! It’s time for the Highlight brought to you by yours truly Eddie, from Eddie’s Toy Box. I’d like to take this week and focus on just one photo. Just one. I know I come on here and I like to make jokes and try to lighten the mood and bring some sort of happiness and peace to you, the readers, life. But sometimes there are just these moments that are so much bigger than that. By now we all know about the tragedy in the Orlando dance club. I spoke about it on my Facebook page earlier in the week. Here is what I wrote:

“Tonight my heart is heavy for the people in Orlando who have had their lives either ended or completely shattered by such a senseless tragedy. The world is becoming a more and more darker place as the days go on, but it’s up to us to come together and bring the light.

Never be afraid to be who you are because each person is unique and special and that should never be hidden because of the actions of ignorance. I end every video with “Be kind to one another…” a phrase I’ve borrowed from Ellen DeGeneres. There are some days where I admit I have a hard time doing this, but I do believe in it. We need to be the change we want to see in the World. Equality. People should be able to love whoever they want to love without the fear of it being a death sentence. You only have one life to live. Live it and love whoever you please. Don’t let someone destroy what they did not help build. I pray for not only Orlando but the rest of the World. No matter what we are, who we are, who we love or what color our skin is. Through things like this everyone’s heart beats the same”

So the focus is on the Sesame Street gang, and the message that has spread across the internet since that awful night. More love, less hate. Never stop loving. As long as we love then hate will never win. I promise we will return to your regularly scheduled program next week. I thank you for joining me here, or on any of my other avenues I post. I enjoy interacting with each one of you regardless of who you are or where you came from or who you love. We are one. Pray for Orlando. Pray for the World. To bring us around to a lighter tone here is the review I did for some of the Sesame Street Pops with my children. If it doesn’t make you smile it’ll probably make you smirk! I should just let my kids run the show.

Be kind to one another.
