Here it is. A new year, which means a new round of Loot Crates! For the first month of 2016, the theme was “Invasion”…. which, for me, is exciting as I am a fan of sci-fi. So, let’s see what we got in this month’s crate.

Celebrating the return of The X-Files to TV, this was the winning design from a contest Loot Crate had. I love the design.

2. Loot Crate Exclusive Space Invaders Vinyl

Looks like there are three different color schemes… I wonder how hard it will be to find the other two… hmmm….

3. Loot Crate Exclusive Alien Facehugger Plush

This is such a cute plush from Loot Crate and Kidrobot. The movies are fantastic, and I will enjoy having this hanging around the apartment. Also, they included a color elastic band to help with the face hugging… I will not deny them that pleasure.

This is a pretty cool exclusive from Quantum Mechanix… you can replace the Leeloo ID with one of your own!

5. Loot Crate Exclusive- The X-Files LED Flashlight

I mean, it’s not exactly like the ones that Mulder and Scully use, but at least they also provided the required batteries.

6. Loot Crate Exclusive- Replica Mini Movie Poster Prints

Beautiful 6″ x 9″ replicas of old movie posters from The War of the Worlds and The Day the Earth Stood Still. I will have to get these framed one day. (I would say soon… but I am never good with that.)

7. Loot Crate Collectible Enamel Pin (w/ Unlock Feature)

Up until this month, we have gotten collectible buttons each month representing the theme. Now, in 2016, we get enamel pins, which unlock exclusive content online each month. This month’s pin unlocks a digital copy of Issue #1 of the comic book Letter 44.

Overall thoughts: I am really digging this box. I either have already used or are planning on using all of the items in the crate. For $20, this month was well worth it.
