For a week or so, rumors, back room photos, and excitement have been brewing about a Mystery Pop Vinyl available at Hot Topic on Black Friday. Hopefully, we can provide some info for everyone today leading into the holiday weekend.
The picture shows you that you will not be able to know what you get when purchased. The back shows you that it could be a grayscale version of Superman, The Joker, or The Flash. One picture we’ve seen also has a grayscale Harley Quinn which we assume could be the limited edition chase. We can’t confirm that however.
Now how do you get this? It will be in stores on Black Friday and according to Hot Topic, there will be a limit of 10.
Repeat what I just said. Limit of 10. So just by that notion, do not expect these to be in limited in the least. For collectors, that’s a good thing. These are nice looking variants that you shouldn’t have to worry about flippers. The other good news is that they will be online on Thanksgiving Day although the exact time hasn’t been announced. Hopefully it’s early because Grandma probably doesn’t want you on your phone furiously refreshing the HT website while she’s trying to pass the gravy. (Family first people!) UPDATE: thanks to my sources at Hot Topic corporate offices, it should go on sale at MIDNIGHT eastern time tonight (which is Thanksgiving Day) and 9pm Pacific (which is still November 25th. This was causing some confusion amongst people earlier).
Hot Topic stores do not have a set opening time for all stores so it is up to you to check with your local HT store for opening hours. Mall stores and free standing stores will differ with their times so good luck to all as they go out on the search for these Mystery Pop! Vinyls at Hot Topic.
