Power Up Box is a monthly subscription service that provides a box of geeky, nerdy, pop culture, and gamer items. The service includes two different sized boxes, which hold a set number of items. The premium box includes 6-9 premium items with a guaranteed monthly t-shirt. The deluxe box includes 4-6 deluxe items with a guaranteed monthly t-shirt as well. Each of these boxes can be purchased on a month-to-month, 3 month, 6 month, or 12 month basis. As the monthly duration increases, the price of the box per month decreases.  You also get a bonus prize with a 12 month subscription.

The Premium box price is $29.95 for one month and gets a 5%, 10%, 15% discount for the 3-month, 6-month, and 12-month plans respectively, + S/H. The Deluxe box price is $19.95 for one month and also gets those discounts for the same months respectively as well, +S/H.

The items in the boxes can include but are not limited to: some sort of Funko products (generally will be in almost every box), gaming codes, headphones, mouse pads, mugs, hats, comic books, key chains, and a wide variety of other appealing items for our selected audience. Power Up Box is partnered with wholesalers who support products for Marvel, DC Comics, Star Wars, Nintendo, Capcom, and some other reputable establishments similar to these.

I received the premium box for this review so keep that in mine in my review.

When you open the box, this is what you see on the inside of the lid.

Here’s what my Power Up box looked like:

pb3pb4I liked seeing it packed to the top and definitely had a tease of some things that I would like.

pb5

I don’t have any FabriKations and I collect Batman, so I was happy after seeing that. Next I find out that I have even more to like. This box came last month and if I had only knew, I would have had a much better shirt for St. Patrick’s Day. Everything is better with Batman!

pb7

With the shirt out of the way, I saw another item I just had a need for. My Funko Batman keychain broke today and the Power Up Box Raphael keychain went to work immediately. Sorry Raph, no time to get to know the new place.

pb18Also under the shirt are a few more goodies: Spider-man ring pops that my son will steal and a Marvel Mystery Mini. Mystery boxes are always cool. You never know what you’ll get!

pb8

When I removed the FabriKation, Mystery Mini and ring pops, I noticed we also get a draw string bag and a lanyard. Nothing major but hey, it could come in a pinch at a convention!pb10pb12
The last item in the box was a great comic that I haven’t read yet.

pb15

In my opinion, I definitely got my money’s worth with this box. Let’s add it up to see:

Fabrikations Retail $19
Tshirt- Approximately $15
Funko Keychain- $5
Mystery Mini- $6
Comic- $3.99
Lanyard $3 ?
Drawstring Bag $3?
Candy- $2

So even with my rudimentary math, it looks like the box has over $55 in value if not more. Some items I had to guess on. Whenever you get  get close to doubling your cost, you’ve definitely achieved a “Power Up” Bonus. As a reader of PopVinyls.com, Power Up Box has a special offer for you. When you sign up for a box, you can get 10% off your first box by using the coupon code “POPVINYLS”.

pb16

Final tally? I will definitely give Power Up Box another try and also recommend it to all our readers.  Some readers might want a theme, but I’ll take a box packed to the rim over a cheesy theme to market your item. Power Up has a much better marketing strategy: value!
