This year was a bit different for Kidrobot at Toy Fair. Since the last Toy Fair, the company has been purchased by NECA, and their display area on the Toy Fair floor is significantly smaller. Concept art of some of the DC pieces from last year look to have been scrapped for 2015, and only a few lines have been announced for the upcoming year.

That being said, it was nice to see the samples of the new sets like DC and Adventure Time sets, and concept art of a new South Park set revolving around Cartman. Let’s check them out.

As you can clearly see, a trimmed down selection for 2015. Does that mean they won’t be coming out with more? No. Also, their Yummy World line (which I do not enjoy reporting on) seems to still be going strong. However, it’s obvious that Kidrobot is, to me, not as strong as a brand as it has been over the years. Part of me wonders if companies like Funko (who started up Vinyl Sugar this year) and Titan Merchandise (ever expanding their vinyl selections) will end up snagging some of the properties from Kidrobot eventually. I guess we shall see.
