Happy Belated Valentine’s Day everybody! Now look I run this column on Thursday nights and Valentine’s day fell over the weekend. This is my Valentine card to all of the peeps that come here and enjoy this article. Yes it might hit some sad nerves, but honestly I don’t think Hershel would have it any other way! Anyways… Welcome to Thursday Night Highlight. I now interrupt your Toy Fair posts to bring you the top photos from my Instagram over the past week. This week it was very… custom oriented. But, first let’s kick it off with more love!

“Even through death love lives on.”

Maria (#92) and Manolo (#91) from the Pop! Movies series. I know I can’t be the only one that buys Pops just because of the way they look right? I picked up every character in the Book of Life series without having any knowledge of the movie just because they looked so awesome. Seriously look at those two up there. The others don’t fail either. They are really well done Pops. I did happen to catch the movie last Thursday though and decided it was time to showcase the product of my addiction. The movie is great too by the way so that’s always awesome when things work out like that. I took a chance on purchasing the Supernatural Pops without ever watching a single episode and now I’m all caught up on that. Pops are a gateway drug. Maria and Manolo are made for each other and they look awesome next to one another. Book of Life. See it. Own the Pops. Advertising over.

“Agents Spears and Aguilera.”

FBI Sam and FBI Dean from the Pop! Custom by Esbjo_Figs series. I made these two Pops back around the end of September last year. Imagine my dismay when I saw that Funko was planning on releasing these two as Hot Topic Exclusives. Had I only waited a few months I wouldn’t have had to crack open the acrylic paint and add more layers to my already unhealthy obsession with these Pops! Not to mention that Dean is being released EXACTLY LIKE THAT. So, seeing that these two would be given the official treatment I decided to sell these off. They now live in another state with a new owner who informed me that an entire shelf in her home was full of Supernatural Pops and Customs so I’m happy they could find a good home with someone else. I wanted to take one more photo of the two together before sending them off and that picture up there is the end result. Saving People. Hunting Things. Making Custom Pops. The Family Business.

“Are you satisfied with your care, Gotham?”

Baymax/Batmax from the Pop! Customs by Esbjo_Figs line! A couple of months ago a friend of mine showed me an artist drawing of Baymax dressed as Batman. She then asked me if I felt like it was something I could make. So never one to back down from a challenge I started to make this a few weeks ago. I put the cape on first and totally forgot the utility belt which ended up working out because the cape snapped off when I was putting the head disc back on. Fast forward a few weeks and here we are! Batmax!

That’s it for tonight! As always I hope you enjoyed those photos up there, and even more so with the customs I’ve created. I’m still relatively new to this whole custom world, but it is fun once you hit the ground running. Look for more photos on my Instagram page (link located in signature below, or copy this in your browser —> www.instagram.com/esbjo_figs) also on the Funko Trading Facebook Page. If you’re not following me on Instagram… I won’t even be offended cause I fully expect once you’re done reading this you won’t even be able to sleep tonight until you follow me. I wouldn’t even been offended if you left right now and did it.

…. You’re still here? Have a good night everybody, be kind to one another, and free the pops!
