Cue Queen’s “We Are The Champions” because the New England Patriots have won the biggest game of the year and have vanquished the Seattle Seahawks (Sorry Funko!). Tom Brady has cemented his legacy as the greatest quarterback to ever step out onto the field and the haters are silenced… for now. I know people feel indifferent about the Patriots so I thank you all for accepting me! Anyway… this is Thursday Night Highlight. A weekly look back at some of my best photos from the week originally posted on my Instagram page. You can follow me there of course at (www.instagram.com/esbjo_figs) or by clicking the link in my signature down below. I promise it’s not all Patriots over there… just some, and now that the NFL season is over they’ll die down as well. Let’s get on with the rest of the photos! First up… a little something for the Seahawks fans to show that I’m a good sport!

“Alright, but what about not running the ball on the 1 yd line?”

Groot (#49) from the Pop! Marvel line, and Marshawn “Beastmode” Lynch (#03) from the Pop! NFL line. Alright Seahawks fans, and NFL fans in general. We’ve all seen the way Marshawn Lynch conducts himself during media interviews, and post-game interviews. He’ll say the same thing the entire time and it’s usually “yeah” or “thanks for asking”. Well who could possibly be feeding Marshawn these one liners? Well the king of the one liner himself Groot! Groot’s press conference would go the same exact way and I hear he’s a big fan of skittles too. I am Groot. Thanks for asking. I’m just here so I don’t get fined. I’m just here to write this column!

“Muscle Men”

Macho Man Randy Savage (#10) and Hulk Hogan (#11) from the Pop! WWE line, and Muscle Man (#50) from the Pop! Television line. Any fans of Regular Show out there? If not this one is going to go way over your head. That green guy in the middle goes by the name of Muscle Man. He works at a park, and his best friend is a ghost named “Fives” or High Fives Ghost. Sound like a cartoon you want to check out yet? Well it should! Regular Show is awesome and when you take two of the biggest muscle men from WWE’s history and team them up with the Park’s biggest prank master you have a stable that’s not to be reckoned with! Ooh yeah brother!

“One Week”

Prison Yard Rick Grimes (#67), and Biker Daryl Dixon (#96) from the Pop! Television line. The long wait is over and when I originally posted this photo on Instagram there was one week left until the premiere of the Walking Dead. Now there’s only three days left! This is a remake of the promo poster that AMC released a few weeks back for the upcoming second half of the season. It shows the map that Morgan was last seen with during the mid-season finale… oh spoiler alert. But seriously you should be caught up by now! The Walking Dead has become such a monster hit for both AMC and Funko that as long as the show continues to climb the charts there’s no stopping the Pops!… and mystery minis… and plushies… and mini Pops… and who knows maybe some Hikari!?

That’s all the time I have for now! Thanks for joining me once more for this weekly showcase. Be sure to follow me on Instagram… where I swear I’m going to announce that contest any day now. And look for me over on the Funko Trading Group on Facebook. Have a great night, be kind to one another, and Free the Pops!

P.S. I swear I wrote this column last week, but I’m not entirely sure if I didn’t save it right… but I’m still here no worries!
