Happy New Year everyone! Hope everybody had a nice safe holiday. Esbjo_Figs here and I’m bringing you the rest of my list and the top 5 Pops (in my opinion) of 2014! Coming in at number 5 and kicking off the second half of my top 10 Pops of 2014 is Castiel…with wings! Before this year I hadn’t watched a single episode of Supernatural, but during the summer I binged watched every season and found out just what I had been missing. Supernatural is fantastic. Castiel is great too. Some of his one liners are hilarious. So another Hot Topic exclusive claims a spot on the list.
Number 4 for my top Pops of 2014 go to the Guardians of the Galaxy! You may have heard of them? Seriously what could be considered the top movie of the year there’s no question why these guys made the list. We would later get Dancing Groot and Groot would also get to be the first ever Lootcrate exclusive! Unmasked Starlord would give Amazon the biggest headache of the year as many were given away for free due to poor shipping and SDCC Flocked Rocket Racoon would light up the eyes of flippers across the globe. Yes they’re a bunch of jerks, but I wouldn’t have them any other way. Jerks at number 4!
Kicking off the Top 3 Pops of 2014 is the man, the myth, the legend Tom Brady! Surprise surprise he’s not number 1! But he is the first Pop to ever have me appear in a photo with…on this account that is. The Patriots have a bye week this Sunday and the first playoff game a week from Saturday. I’m hoping the man that just restructured his contract to better the team can lead them to another ring! Go Pats!
The number 2 spot on my list of the top Pops of 2014 goes to the Big Hero 6 series! This was a tough call as they could have easily made the number 1 spot except I wanted the top spot to go to a singular pop and not a set. If you haven’t seen BH6 yet what are you waiting for?! It’s an awesome story with hilarious and heartbreaking moments. Baymax easily has become one of my favorite animated characters. I am satisfied with my care and I am satisfied with the number 2 spot on my top 10 Pops of 2014! Hairy baby!
And now the number 1 pop on my top Pops of 2014 goes to Dead Gus Fring from the Pop! Television Breaking Bad line! Seriously look at the detail on this one it’s amazing! Gus was the bad guy you loved to hate and hated to love. He’s one of my favorite characters from Breaking Bad and when this happened I was extremely sad to see him go. He’ll forever live on in Pop for though and we have to thank Funko for that! Only way for Gus to go out was like a boss adjusting his tie and collapsing. He nabs the top spot on my list!
That wraps up my top 10 Pops of 2014! Can’t wait to see what 2015 has in store and what Pops top the list next year. Thank you all once more for the encouraging words, the compliments and all the support. I make these pictures as a way to escape the everyday stress of life and it’s nice to know people out there appreciate it. Helps a lot more when I feel some creative block and don’t know what to do next. So again thank you! I hope you’ve enjoyed my top 10. I’ve seen a number of you post yours and they’re awesome. Killer Croc, Crowley, Rhode Island Comic Con Iron Man, Elsa, Olaf, Sven, Kristoff, Lootcrate Batman-Joker, any other Pop from the Breaking Bad series. These all could have made this list with ease, but unfortunately it’s a top 10 and not a top 100 of 2014 list. That’d be easy!
