Back in March, Diamond Select Toys sent over the Toys ‘R’ Us assortment of The Walking Dead Series 5 Minimates to review. This week, then sent over the Comic Store assortment for me to take a look at.
To recall, here is what the assortment includes:
The Walking Dead Minimates Series 5 Comic Shop Assortment
• Maggie Greene & Riot Gear Glenn
• Tyreese and Prison Michonne
• Survivor Morgan and Geek Zombie
• Caesar Martinez and Geek Zombie (rare variant)

Like all of the Minimates sets, each 2pk comes with some accessories. Let’s take a closer look at each 2pk.
• Maggie Greene & Riot Gear Glenn
Maggie and Glen come with the most accessories. Maggie comes with an extra set of arms and a removable jacket. She also comes with a couple of guns. Glen comes with removable riot gear, an extra set of hands, and his famous ball cap. He comes with a nightstick and a couple of guns as well.
• Tyreese and Prison Michonne
Michonne come with her popular sword, a shotgun, and a pistol. Tyreese comes with a pistol and changeable hair.
• Survivor Morgan and Geek Zombie
Morgan comes with a shovel and a gun. The Geek Zombie, the only zombie in this assortment, does not have an accessory.
• Caesar Martinez and Geek Zombie (rare variant)
The Caesar and Geek Zombie 2pk is the short packed 2pk for the case assortment, therefore being “rare”. Caesar comes with a couple of guns. The Geek Zombie is the same from the Survivor Morgan 2pk.
All in all, I like the path Diamond Select Toys is take with both this assortment and the Toys ‘R’ Us assortment. By combining popular characters with ones that are more obscure, they are making those avid fans of the comic book series very happy.
