Popvinyls.com received the following press release from Funko this morning. A new line, Hikari is coming to the States. After the photos, we’ll offer our insight on this new line.
– Funko is set to launch Hikari Japanese Vinyl in Spring/Summer 2014.
Hikari is a highly collectible line of clear Sofubi vinyl inspired by Japanese Vinyl Figures. Each piece will be hand numbered and limited edition. Hikari comes packaged in a special edition clear tube with an on/off LED light to display these one of a kind figures!
Batman and Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles will be the first licenses released in the Hikari line with more properties such as Star Wars, Marvel, Ghostbusters, and many more to follow in 2014.

I am really pumped up about the possibilities of this line. While no word yet on pricing, the fact that Funko has Ghostbusters, Marvel, and Star Wars in the works for 2014 makes me very excited!
